Sometimes protecting your peace looks like rudeness to other people. The same people who will rudely inquire about your personal business, will call you rude for not responding. And in the past, I’d answer, because nothing mattered more than being “nice.” I had to protect my image.

Today was a ridiculously uphill, #distewmuch type of day. AND for one of the first times, I didn’t let the inconveniences send me spiraling or push me into making desperate decisions to salvage my vision of the perfect day. Today, life was lifing AND I got to see how much I’ve grown.
