So yesterday I decided to tackle a task that’s been evading me for quite some time. I decided that I would use ChatGPT to support me in staying on task and to talk through things as needed.
I was so excited to finally be making progress on this thing that’s been nagging at me for weeks (well, months… a lot of months). Although I was making incremental progress in part, after a while I realized I wasn’t actually making considerable progress on the whole. I became increasingly agitated as I realized that despite all the work I’d done —and that I worked all day—I hadn’t actually made much visible progress.

I tell the full story on today’s podcast and the really unexpected conclusion I came to as I compared the amount of time I put in to the amount of work I pulled off. But as frustrated as I was by what I hadn’t accomplished, I realized something important when I looked at just how much effort it had taken me to do all I did.
If life for you has primarily been uphill, and you find yourself wondering why everything seems to take so much effort, press play above. I’d like to tell you a story.
