Submission, Relationships, & R*ligion, Oh My!

When I went to bed last night, this topic was the farthest thing from my mind. However, I woke up this morning and had a conversation with “God” that rocked my socks.

Meme: Image of a beautiful brown skinned woman with short haircut, hot pink lipstick, pink button up collared longsleeve shirt and blue jeans standing with against a yellow background with mouth opened. Text states: “Sometimes the thing you’re afraid to say is exactly what another person needs to hear. As you grow and evolve, don’t keep your lessons to yourself.”

I’m just warning you now, if you are really religious, don’t check out this episode. It’s not for you. I’m sharing about my own journey and some of that might feel offensive. That’s NOT my intention, which is why I’m saying, “This one is not for you.”

However, if you are a person who was once devout and has transitioned into questioning, or have full on put those beliefs on the shelf (or in the trash can), I believe this episode will resonate with you.

This year has been all about releasing beliefs that don’t align with truth for me. And this episode is on some topics I previously have not discussed freely on the podcast.

Today, I decided to let it flow and I hope that it’s supportive to those who are on a similar journey. If that’s not you, again, this probably isn’t the podcast episode for you. And that’s okay. (I have plenty more! Check out out my Podcast page here.)

If you’re all in, check out today’s episode! (above or below)

Releasing F*cks/If It’s Not a H*ll Yes

“There comes a point in our lives where we start making decisions that are in our best interest and don’t give a f*ck what anybody thinks about it.” — Marlene Dillon Empowerment Specialist

Today’s podcast is a vulnerable one (AND a hilarious one. since I don’t really share deep topics in a deep way. 😆)

If you are neurodivergent, and not quite where you want to be in life… If you are someone who has been called “lazy” or told you “lack ambition,” when you were actually dealing with a dopamine deficiency… If you find yourself caring too much about people’s opinions about what you do/don’t do… this podcast episode is for you.

So check it out…. or share it with someone you think can benefit from it.

Blessings!

Be Easy on Yourself

I used to be my own bully. A learned behavior that eventually became my default response to my mistakes and shortcomings.

Meme: Image of a gold trophy on a wooden table. Navy blue background with blurred gold lights. Text states: “Maybe you struggle with internal questions like, ‘Who am I to do this?’ and ‘Who do you think you are?’ Maybe by society’s rules you don’t qualify,
but none of that matters when you’re ‘called’ and it’s your time.”

Now, I am much kinder to myself AND I actually notice when I say/think unkind things about myself.

We all make mistakes. We miss an important call, we forget to set an alarm, we oversleep. We don’t have to beat ourselves up, though. We can acknowledge the mistake, without being mean to ourselves.

Regardless what you were taught about how to get things done, I still choose to believe that loving kindness can be a beautiful motivator, too. I can love myself into doing things, and I can be loving toward myself when I make mistakes. And so can you.

Another thing I address on this podcast episode is feeling like we don’t have a right to do, be, and have just because of who we believe we are, or who we feel others believe we are. I’m learning to release those external judgments and accept that others don’t have to approve me. If I’m called to do something, every door will open with or without their approval. The same applies to you.

Blessings!

BTW… Check out my new Speaking page! It’s what I was working on this morning that I mentioned during today’s podcast.

Bonus-Take It Easy Compilation

Over the last week or so I have been having these moments of inspiration in regard to this new direction… the theme for this month at Share & Let’s Live! Everywhere I turn, I find myself confronted with this concept of “take it easy.”

Meme: Image: Person in hammock on a sunny day reading a book. Text states: “I’ve lived through enough bad days and worst case scenarios to know that I’m probably gonna survive this. So I might as well take it easy.”

In various aspects of my life, I am naturally releasing my tendency to overthink, “pre-panic,” and worry myself nuts. I’m recognizing moments of anxiety and choosing to not let my thoughts maintain control of the experience. I’m stepping back into my power… over my mind.

On this bonus compilation podcast episode, I have combined multiple days’ epiphanies and “aha” moments about taking it easy and releasing anxiety. If you deal with anxious overthinking, check it out. If you know someone who does, share this with them, or check it out for yourself so you can better understand them.

Have an amazing whatever time of day it is for you.

Blessings!
