As someone who could never get it right enough to garner praise in childhood, it’s no wonder that I became a bit of a perfectionist. I did all I could, including lived a double life, so that I could gain all that good girl praise.

Welp. I had a good run. It’s way too exhausting and I’m over it. Attempting to be perfect when the whole world knows that no one is perfect, including you, is such a losing game.
Today, I gave myself permission to just be. I had things to do and I gave myself permission to not do them. I share a story on the podcast of the mortifying day that I accidentally posted myself being less than perfect. And I’m so grateful for releasing that ridiculous standard.
Perfectionism is one of the most draining and unfulfilling experience of life. I did it for so long. And now I am entering the season of IDGAF. And I couldn’t be more grateful.
It is a HUGE RELIEF to let that go and I’m excited about the freedom my life is becoming as I release B.A.E.’s (beliefs, affirmations, and expectations) that don’t serve me.
This has been such a wonderful month of growth! And in a few days, I’ll be celebrating my 1 year anniversary of daily podcasting here on Share & Let’s Live!!!!
