Drifting Much? Tips on Shifting Your Focus

Today, I found myself drifting into thoughts that weren’t serving me. Instead of getting upset with myself, I simply said to myself, “Drifting much?” and fell out laughing.

Sometimes we’re too hard on ourselves as we address habits on our personal growth journeys. We’re not always going to get it right. The work is challenging enough. We don’t need to be mean to ourselves on top of it.

When you catch yourself drifting into old thought patterns, you can simply pull yourself back into the present moment with a fun statement like, “Drifting much?” It worked for me.
