Always Consider the Messenger

“Always consider the messenger. People who are happy tend to have less criticism for others because they are busy enjoying their lives.” — Marlene Dillon Empowerment Specialist

Press play to listen to today’s podcast episode that goes with this blog post and meme! BTW, I cuss, so listen when the kids aren’t around.

What I’ve observed over time is that successful AND happy people are not typically the ones criticizing and offering unsolicited advice. I can even say that for myself, because I was always sticking my nose where it didn’t belong, being loud and wrong, offering my “two cents.” I’ve learned to shut the eff and mind my business, and only dip in when I feel led. The results are completely different. People feel loved and seen, rather than offended and judged.

Check out today’s podcast where I address this concept of who we’re taking criticism from and how we should really think twice about who we let get in our heads.
